FAQ

Nurse Practitioners have very similar skills to that of family doctors.

In Ontario, NPs are authorized to diagnose, order and interpret diagnostic tests. NPs can also prescribe medication and other treatment.

Every private insurance company is different in terms of what they cover.  You need to contact your insurance provider yourself to determine if Nurse Practitioner consultations are covered.

This also applies to prescription medications.

We are not affiliated with any insurance provider nor do we deal directly with insurance providers.  You must speak to them directly regarding prescription coverage.  Arv does not fill out insurance forms, special access forms, ODSP or workers compensation etc.

NP Arv is not affiliated with any pharmacy.

For all medication fee inquiries, please contact your local pharmacy (ie Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall etc).
